The yellow calcareous onyx is a rock that derives from the precipitation of calcium carbonate in underground environments in the presence of water. Due to the presence of concretions it acquires a particular appearance with a variable fibrous-compact, fibrous-radial, fibrous-parallel and zonate-concentric structure. It has the characteristic of being translucent and with varied zoning.
